The Dialog Werkstatt, a consortium of national and municipal entities and private foundations based in Zug canton (Switzerland), is now accepting applications for its translation grant for 2005, in the amount of SF 40,000. Interested parties may check out the terms at:


Deadline for applications is 10 November 2004.

Funded works to date:

* 2003 - Susanne Lange for Don Quijote (Miguel de Cervantes, Spanish)
* 2001 - Donatella Capaldi, Maria Fehringer, Ludwig Paulmichl and Peter Waterhouse for the complete works of Andrea Zanzotto, Italian
* 1999 - Melanie Walz for the translation of Weymouth Sands (John Cowper Powys, English)
* 1997 - Gabriele Leupold for Petersburg» (Andrej Belyi, Russian)
