The DVA-Stiftung - Fondation DVA, branch of Robert Bosch GmbH has been organizing this prize in order to develop the intellectual dialogue between French and German since 1986.

This competition is open to French speaking and German speaking translators who have already published some translations. The projects must belong to the human sciences or social sciences area.

The DVA-Stiftung - Fondation DVA, branch of Robert Bosch GmbH has been organizing this prize in order to develop the intellectual dialogue between French and German since 1986.

This competition is open to French speaking and German speaking translators who have already published some translations. The projects must belong to the human sciences or social sciences area.
The 10.000 euros prize is awarded every two years. The laureates are selected by an independent French-German jury. The winners were Marc Sagnol and Gernot Kamecke in 2002 and Jadja Wolf and Judith Yacar in 2000.

The deadline is 8th December 2004

The candidates must present a dossier with:
- a resume with a list of the translations published
- a translation project with a short description of the subject of the book
- the deadline
- a sample translation of the book proposed
