Hello,
After five years working as a Translator/Localization specialist in the translation team of a global company (and four other years in that same company in a quite different role), I am setting up as a freelance translator. I have obtained my very first bid for 20 eurosicon_smile.gif, for 1 page of a business correspondence, and I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to review my work and send feedback to me on my private email. I would appreciate it a lot.
I look forward to hearing from you,

Kind regards,
Valérie

Really? Feb 5, 2015

After 5 years working as a translator do you really need this? Take the plunge like the rest of us.

hmmm, puzzled Feb 5, 2015

Sorry this is taken the wrong way. This is my first translation in a long while, and I was interested in hearing the opinion from another experienced or more experienced translator on a very short translation. I felt this was a good opportunity to ask...

Cheer up! Feb 5, 2015

Don't be disheartened, valDublin, it's easy to write - and read - things on these online forums that don't come across the way they're intended. A bit like a car windshield really, it often disguises the real person underneath!

I specialise in proofreading French to English translations for other translators, agencies etc. I'd be happy to take a look at a sample paragraph if that would help - hopefully you can get my details off my Proz profile.

Starting your own business can be lonely and hard - even with industry experience - so please let's keep this forum supportive and positive! Learning from each other is more important than proving you can succeed on your own.

Happy February thoughts to all Proz members - spring is nearly here!icon_smile.gif
