Hello,

I have been a faithful Prozian for a year now. I am so happy about the content of the site and the resources it offers to translators. Most important of all for me is that feeling of not being all alone in front of my computer.

Hello,

I have been a faithful Prozian for a year now. I am so happy about the content of the site and the resources it offers to translators. Most important of all for me is that feeling of not being all alone in front of my computer.

Beside my work as a freelance translator, I teach economic and technical translation at the Lebanese University and today I gladly introduced Proz to my students and showed them its main features and services. They were amazed and enthusiast as if they have found a treasure. I really hope so.

I just wanted to share this happy event with you !!

Wishing them welcome to the site. Those interested in further studies abroad may browse through the Professional Development forum (shameless self-promotion).

At any rate, I took the liberty of researching some scholarship openings particularly targetted at Lebanese students:

http://www.amideast.org/lebanon/programs_services/fulbright.htm

Hope we can be of help to them all, and to you as well, Zeina!

Hi Zeina and all Lebanese University students,

Welcome to our growing students community! It is great to have you all here.

I kindly invite you to visit the students forum at the site http://www.proz.com/forum/356 ,
and specially make a groupal or individual introduction in this thread http://www.proz.com/topic/78305 . It would be great to get to know you, learn a bit more about your course and that you share your experience with other translation students from all over the world.

I also invite you to visit our First Students Translation Contest http://www.proz.com/?sp=event/casual_contest&sp_mode=contest&contest_id=8 It is about to finish now, but you'll get a chance to vote in this last day. Needless to say, you will be more than welcome in our next contest!

By the way, I have also added your university to the site's list, so now all your students may include that in your profiles and take advantage of the students networking tool: http://www.proz.com/?sp=student_search

Hope to be of great help to you and your students.

See you around,

Soledad

Welcome!!! May 20, 2008

A big hug to the new prozies, you will love this site... !
I have also recommended Proz to several of my students both in Buenos Aires and now here in California. I have also brought in lawyers and court interpreters from the Superior Court where I have volunteered so long.

It is very pleasing to belong to a site and forum that educates and helps us so much and in so many ways.

Bienvenidos!!!

Cordially,
Patricia
