Yesterday a posting was made that called into question the identity and mother tongue of a site member, Nathalie M. Girard, ALHC. The posting was not only in violation of site rules forbidding comments of a personal nature, it was also incorrect. Nathalie is a real person, with native command of the English language.



I would ask all members to refrain from baseless speculation in the future.

And I cannot recall anything unidiomatic in her English since joining ProZ in March or April of last year.

I sent here a short message recently to ask a question that she had nothing to gain by answering. She came back almost instantly with a friendly and informative e-mail that was in perfect English.

Good attitude, perfect English, fast turnaround time. What more does anyone want?

No-one who has read Nathalie\'s constructive and expert contributions in \"the other place\" could be in any doubt about her native language.
