Hi everyone,
I read somewhere that the new profile would be implemented in May, so I wondered when it's going to happen, since I would like to have it changed and I just didn't get the news of it when it was first announced and people could have the option to change their profiles first.
Does anybody know more about it?

Hi Anabel,
On the top of your profile page, you should have an option to switch to the new profile and select it by default, something like "Use the new profile format by default".
You can still switch back later if you want.

Unfortunately, the only option appearing at the top of my profile is to Switch to visitor's view, but no mention of the new profile
Is there a problem with my profile then?

On the top of my page:
Mode: Owner's view (editable) Click for visitor's view
I go to SETTINGS - BASIC PROFILE and cannot see
anything like "new profile"
Is there really no restriction maybe something to do with the completeness score?
I got only: 23 out of 34

Have you tried putting http://www.proz.com/profile into your browser address bar and changing the settings from there? I hope this is what you meant.

On a slightly irrelevant note, how do you get that rather nice "Google" map showing your geographical location to appear on the bottom left-hand corner of the new profile design? (!)

You need to enter your coordinates in the Maps section (under Community).

Oops, I seem to have got my coordinates horribly wrong and have ended up somewhere in East Anglia (I'm actually in the West Midlands), but I'm going to keep working on it!!

Thanks for your valuable help! Now I was setting my availability and, after setting the whole month, it still reads "Availability not set". Is this some kind of bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Anabel. I confirmed just yesterday that this is a bug affecting some people. (I am one of them.) We'll look at it today.
We begin linking to the new profiles by default next week. Old profiles will continue to work, but they won't be linked to from the directory or KudoZ.

Availibility setting is working fine, but
is everybody able to edit local time right now?
Names of glossaries have problems with the "umlauts".
Working with the new profile is very exciting and a good chance to reconsider my own profile.
