Hi Pavel!
Thank you very much for the big job you are doing to make Prague a great conference!
I am very much eager to get there!

However I have a question concerning public transportation:
Pavel, at the overview you say it is an excellent one. Well I do not doubt it at all. But, would you be so kind and make public (perhaps even at the overview side?) the website of public transportation in your wonderful city?

I thank you very much!

See you there! Cheers,
Helena

Venue tab Jul 4, 2010

Hello Helena,

I have included some additional information on the Venue tab. There is a link to a website where you can also find all you need to know about the Prague public transportation system:
www.prague.net/public-transport

Three-day tickets are available at CZK 330.00 (about EUR 13.00). You must stamp the ticket the first time you get on a bus or a tram or the metro, then it will remain valid for 72 hours. This seems to be the best and most comfortable option unless you prefer buying single tickets (CZK 26.00 each, valid for 90 minutes).

Feel free to ask if you need any other information.

Looking forward to meeting you here in Prague!

Cheers,
Pavel

P.S.: Thank you, Hynek, for the link to the official website of Prague Transit Company.

How to get from the airport to the conference hotel Sep 23, 2010

Hi everybody,

Prague Airport has a useful website with all the information that you may need if you want to take a taxi.
The website is available in some twenty langauges, just click your flag in the upper right-hand corner.

This is a link to the English version:
http://www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk/

Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Cheers,
Pavel

If you want to go from the Olympik hotel to Friday powwow, or Saturday gala dinner (both by tram no. 8 - from Invalidovna to Dlouha), CZK 18 ticket is sufficient for one ride. It is valid for 20 mins. without changing the lines/means (or 30 mins. in the underground, where you can change lines and go max. 5 stops, not counting the station you get in).
