I know there are certain agencies banned from activity on ProZ.com. I would like to request that a note clearly saying "Banned" (or something like that, maybe in icon???) is added to the Blue Board entry for those agencies.
What made me think about it is that recently an agency that is banned from ProZ (they cannot post jobs, cannot send profile messages) sent direct email messages to ProZ.com members (somehow they got hold of email addresses). The Blue Board entry showed bad ratings by several people, but there was no indication of the ban anywhere.
Would it be possible to add such a note?
It would make a very clear message, even for those that don't (can't) read all the detailed opinions (usually written in English).

Thank you
Katalin

That's what we usually do Mar 17, 2004

Hi Katalin,
Please check the BB entry you're referring to - I added a comment to that effect today. We usually add a note once an outsourcer has been blocked.

Sometimes, however, when an investigation is still going on, we may decide to wait until we get more confirmations.

In the case at hand, the note should have been posted quite some time ago - my apologies for the oversight.

In any case, neither ProZ.com nor moderators have any control whatsoever regarding contacts made outside the site.

Best regards, Ralf

PS I'm moving this thread to ProZ.com Job Systems.
