Why donot you boys set up a Forum devoted to Agencies and Agencies' behaviour, in which ProZ's members could discuss about agencies' related practices and concerns?

Regards,

FFB

Have a look at the Forum Rules Jun 3, 2003

Hi Francesco,
The reason why is clearly stated in the Forum Rules:

"Can I make a posting about a bad agency or translator?

Absolutely not. The Blue Board is the appropriate place for sharing your opinions regarding the desirability of a given client."

Note that this applies to both sides, agency and freelancer. What you should bear in mind is the legal risk involved with such a forum - that's why the Blue Board is not a "black list", but indicates one's willingness to work for a given customer again in the future.

Best regards, Ralf

We decided against an open discussion format Jun 3, 2003

The consensus among staff members was that rather than open discussion, which would be difficult to moderate in a community of this size, it would be better to have a simple board in which members could express their likelihood of working again with any given client. That is the Blue Board.

There are a number of board for open discussion on clients -- TCR, Transpayment and Payment Practices are a few.

And this is perfect..., Jun 3, 2003

...provided everyone will contribute and rate the agencies we have worked for. A discussion forum will hardly add value to this issue.
