I was surprised to see this advertising press release for SDL Trados in the spot on the home page for news about ProZ.com. I should think that spot would not be for advertisements by third parties. (I posted a release from OmegaT, the free CAT tool, last week, but I notice it did not find its way to "News at ProZ.com." Of course, since it's free, there's no revenue for anybody there.) I have nothing against Trados except its price (for which reason, I have never used it), but there are lots of products out there of use to translators, and this is not the spot to promote them.

That press release should not have been placed under the “new at ProZ.com” section, a check box was inadvertently left active that placed it in that section. It has been fixed and no longer appears in the new at ProZ.com section.
