I find the update I get from LinkedIn once a week quite useful as I get to know what people I'm connected to have been up to, what discussions are going on in the groups I've joined, etc.
I would like to suggest something similar for ProZ.com activities, a kind of weekly digest sent to all members who subscribe to it which would include:

I would like to suggest something similar for ProZ.com activities, a kind of weekly digest sent to all members who subscribe to it which would include:
- topics in any forums we may be tracking - links to KudoZ questions and answers in our areas of specialisation - jobs posted in our language pair(s) and areas of specialisation
and anything else that may be helpful such as the conferences and powwows going on that week, for example.
That way, we could catch up on things we may have missed during the week, or get to know about them if we've been away on holiday, etc.
What do you think? Would you find a weekly update useful/helpful? ▲ Collapse

You may think it's not necessary on ProZ....

.....because you get individual notifications for forum discussions, KudoZ and jobs. However, there are *a lot* of members who are not that active or who don't even want to participate actively, but who may still like to know what's going on and read some specific forum discussions, and they may appreciate a weekly summary with links to those parts of the site they are interested in. That way, they can just log in once or twice a week and read up on everything.
