Is it just me or the Business Plus member logo looks a lot like a grenade if you don't look closely?

A hand grenade... or "bomba a mano" as we call it in Italian... icon_smile.gif

No. My immediate perception is that it's the globe of the world.

I suppose it all depends on what our visual associations are.

Not really. Jun 27

The grenade has an oval egg-like shape and this logo has spherical shape like a Globe.

Btw, I can't believe someone started a thread about this.icon_biggrin.gif

If you're never seen or held a hand grenade then you would not have that association - no matter how closely you look.

Anyway the point about a logo is that you don't look closely. Logos are about instant recognition.

How closely, or for how long, do you need to look at this logo to realise it's a "correct" tick?

Candle Jun 27

And of course you'll instantly recognise this as a scented candle:

If you rotate it by 45 degrees to the right it looks like a bird with sharp peak and sharp tail.

Mills bomb Jun 27

The type of grenade we are talking about is the Mills bomb, used by the British Army in the Second World War. We've seen several other images, so I think we ought to see this one.

Yes, it is oval, not round, but there is a superficial resemblance.

Another business slogan could be the version of the Dwarf Song from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which goes:

"Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work we go,
With a bucket and spade and a hand grenade,
Heigh-ho,
Heigh-ho heigh-ho heigh-ho."
