Hi all.
I am thinking of moving to another country (again) and browsing the web I found several good links.
I was wondering why we do not have a special forum dedicated to those (many of us I guess) who want to relocate and/or share their experience. Or maybe we have and I ignore it?

Thanks for your comments
Paola

I think that's good idea, Sep 10, 2006

as from my observations, many translators move around a lot. And no, we don't have any special forum for that yet.

That would be really great to have such forum here! The info there would help a lot for those of us who want or have to move to another country.

Happy you like it :-) Sep 10, 2006

We could ask for advice, have a sort of bulettin board, share links and so on.
What's the point of working at home if you do not move around at some point?icon_wink.gif

No Vladimir Sep 10, 2006

that would be just a thread. Please compare a thread in Russian and a Russian Forum.

Well, I'm plannig to move to Bxls, need to find a room asap
with a broadband (guess whyicon_wink.gif)
So:
1) I'd like to contact the Prozians over there;
2) I'd like to hear from someone who has a room to let or want to look for a flat with me;
3) I've found some links I can share;
4) I'm glad to hear other colleagues' experiences.

I don't have any experience living in Bxls, Paola. Too bad you aren't moving to Mexico. I'd be happy to help with some of your questions.

Thanks Marcela Sep 11, 2006

I came across those sites.
My point in posting this thread was to encourage the creation of a new forum, as I'm sure many translators would appreciate it.
