The decision to limit questions should be based on more solid, unbiased criteria than the number of answers one offers, or the Kudoz or Brownies one has accrued. Whether I answer a question or not depends on multiple factors - my language pairs (ex.: I get around 30-40 questions in SP-EN per day, but only one every blue moon for CAT-EN), the speed with which I can reply or attempt to reply (when I log on I often find that 4-5 people have offered answers, more often than not the right ones, makin... Whether I answer a question or not depends on multiple factors - my language pairs (ex.: I get around 30-40 questions in SP-EN per day, but only one every blue moon for CAT-EN), the speed with which I can reply or attempt to reply (when I log on I often find that 4-5 people have offered answers, more often than not the right ones, making my contribution useless), the subject matter I\'m knowledgeable in (I may get 50 questions in a day about chemistry, a field in which I have no expertise whatsoever), etc., etc.
I think we should be real careful when it comes to curtailing the access of people to such a valuable resource.

I begin to get tired of some \'translators\' asking about terms you would find in the cheapest pocket dictionary...
Translating implies a knowledge of at least two tongues. 100% perfect knowledge of two languages is probably impossible, that\'s why I appreciate the opportunity to ask for help. I find that some people abuse this.
