This person had received answers from other translators participating on this site after which he gave a modified version of the answer and awarded himself with 4 KudoZ for it. Is this practice allowed? If it is, it definitely invites people to provide themselves with high marks and therefore, all the efforts we\'ve been doing, are just a waste of time.

Of course not ! Dec 19, 2002

But you may be overreacting.

As far as I know, it is not possible to answer your own questions unless you do it under a different profile. If you believe this is indeed the case, I would suggest writing an e-mail to the moderator for that particular language pair.

How immature Dec 19, 2002

to do that. The grades, or Kudoz points are designed to reward those who have helped with the translation. If the person awarded the points to himself, not only is he not respectful, but very childish.

That is exactly what should happen here. If necessary, ProZ can run a check regarding the IP address used to enter the question. But any \"investigation\" should be conducted by a moderator.
