Good morning. How can I listen the radio in French, Russian, Portuguese and English by surfing on Internet?
By surfing to read football newspapers I discovered "Cadenaser" in Spanish language, and I'm more and more satisfied with my knowledge of Spanish. How can I do the same thing with other languages, IF I can?
I tried already with French radio, but I didn't get any result. With Portuguese language I didn't listen anything but music. And with Russian language? Only with English i was luckier.
Thank you very much
Francesco

10 000 choices Jun 13, 2007

You can start with this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/

or this:

http://www.rfi.fr/radiofr/pages/001/accueil.asp

You will have to find the links that let you listen to the streams, but that's not difficult.

Most public radio stations stream over the web.
You may listen using Windows Media Player, Winamp or Real Audio Player (and a number of others).

For Portuguese... Jun 13, 2007

try

http://www.tsf.pt/online/emissao/default.asp

If your looking for spoken word, rather than music, this is probably the best choice.

Best,

M

For a wide selection of Russian language programmes, Jun 13, 2007

try

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/russian/programmes/default.stm

I can see that Pawel has already listed BBC World Service, but this is a direct link which I use myself. You will need to have Real Player installed.

Listen to the radio in other languages Jun 13, 2007

To listen a good sample of quality and "not -so-commercial" music of Brazil, you can try www.pr.gov.br/rtve; just have to download a short indicated software, in the case you don't have it. To find a zillion others possibilities, ask Google for "radios do Brasil"

A good page with French ones Jun 13, 2007

I have used this one for years:

http://radios.syxy.com/

You will see that there are 35 radio station logos to click on. I like to listen to "Europe No. 1" but the link on this page does not always work. Here is the link to the player:

http://cache.yacast.fr/V4/europe1/europe1_live_V4.html

I find it is better if you have both Windows Media Player and
RealPlayer.

Go for your life!

Live-radio net Jun 13, 2007

I think this one is a little gem. Definitely my favourite. Very easy to navigate through.

Click on the continent to get a list of countries, than click on the country to get the list of radio station you can listen to on-line.
There is a short description of the station next to its name as well as the type of format e.g. WWA, MP3 etc.

I've found 29 Slovak radion stations which I didn't even know we had that many back home.

Enjoy!

You can listen to the main Spanish radio stations in www.SpainRadios.com. Most of them are in Spanish, but some of them are in other languages as well (Catalan, Galician). Enjoy it!

Thank you.......Some useful suggestion again, even if I putted this forum at 2007.
But to be honest, I'm interested in Spanish mothertongue radios. This is the aim I would achieve.
