I entered the data for MSN & Yahoo instant messenger on my profile page,while I am on-line the Yahoo icon lights up, but the MSN's doesnt. I am getting confused.I both tried my ID with & without .hotmail.com at its end. Does anybody have an idea what the problem can be?

Dear Beham,
you need to insert your full hotmail address, ending it with @hotmail.com

My icon has not been working for ages. It worked for a while right after it was introduced and then it stopped after a few days or weeks. I would also like to know if there is a solution to make it work.

Dear Gianfranco,
I entered my profile to edit as you advised but i noticed you cannot even edit. There were only two options there, either Hide or Deleit. No Edit. So the only thing to do is, may be just enter the data again as you suggested and deleit the ones before. I will try now. BUt, is there any way to add the \"Edit\" option there?

Thank you Gianfranco, but it doesn't really work, as Elvira has had the same problem. It seems to be inactive anyway.

I had the same problem. There is a character size limitation - if say your username is over 6 characters or something (exluding the @hotmail.com bit) then it will truncate it.

Hi Behnam and Elvira,
are you online now with your MSN messenger?
I'm online and I see my icon displaying the colors. I also attempted to contact both of you via messenger and hotmail, but I've received no answer.
I'm trying to understand what's happening, to help the programmer to locate and fix the problem, if possible.

I would appreciate some feedback on this problem from the site staff:
I had 3 IM's on my profile -Win messenger, ICQ, and Yahoo!- none showing correctly. All three were gray all the time with a question mark added, though I was online. At last I removed them all. This is not the end of the world, and I have Proz IM function, as well, but I am just curious to know if this will be corrected.
