How to stop potential job notifications?

All,

I unchecked all of my "potential" job notification preferences sometime yesterday, but I am still receiving e-mail notifications about potential jobs. I just re-checked my profile, and the potential choices are all unchecked.

Does it take longer than 24 hours to apply the changes?
