Hello,
I am working on a glossary
catalan (mallorquí) -dutch. I want to notify other people about it, but the linkadress is soo loooong.

http://www.proz.com/?sp=mt&eid_s=62859&glossary=10116&justgloss=1&float=y

Is there a possibility to make it shorter?

Thank you in advance!:-)

Regards
Stephanie

Hi Tuliparola,

How about getting a free hosting with a shorter address and redirecting it to this glossary link.

TOPIC STARTER
http://tinyurl.com is great Feb 19, 2006

Thank you,Rebekka, for your answer.
I compared the 2 links

http://www.proz.com/?sp=mt&eid_s=62859&glossary=10116&justgloss=1&float=y
73 characters resulted in 38 characters
http://makeashorterlink.com/?Y29E61AAC
But does not lead directly to my glossary first via
makeashorterlink site with a
"You will shortly be redirected."

What does tinyurl?
http://tinyurl.com/c8lrr
leads directly to my glossaryicon_smile.gif with just 24 characters.

Amazing, cause initially I was thinking about just little bit of shortening with PROZ means.

I guess I had better switch to tinyurl, then! Feb 19, 2006

This is good to know. I didn't compare the two but it shounds tinyurl is the better option. Thanks for sharing your insights, Tuliparola.

Regards,

Rebekka

Added shorter link: http://proz.com/personal-glossary Feb 24, 2006

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for the suggestion. A shorter link to personal glossaries is now available that looks like this: proz.com/personal-glossary/{user ID}

Click the "[Direct link]" link in the personal glossary search box to go straight to this shorter link.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jason
