For two days now I have not been able to open my profile page. All that opens is a blank page.

Can anyone else see me?

I can't see your profile either. I can see the ones before and after yours (17002 and 17004). I'm using IE at the moment. I'd submit a support request.

The same problem, but solved now Feb 28, 2006

I had the same problem.
The support system didn't happen to be very helpful. They wanted me to send them a screenshot and explained to me at length what a screenshot is. I told them I knew what it was, but it would be a completely blank picture just like your profile.

Then I solved it on my own.
Explaining:

The profiles where you have even one word in Cyrillic (like yours) would go blank in Unicode.
I deleted my Cyrillic words... and pop, here comes the weasel!

+:
And the reason some people can see your profile all right is they use encoding different from Unicode. It only goes blank in Unicode.

Strange... Feb 28, 2006

I can see Elisabeth's profile both in Unicode and Win-1251 (with proper Cyrillc..). It must be something else ?

Magda

PS My browser: Firefox.

Then, methinks, it must be depending on the browsers. Mine is NetCaptor, which is an IE add-on. I couldn't see one jot nor one tittle either in my profile when I had Cyrillic there, nor in Elizabeth's one.

Browser!!!! Feb 28, 2006

Yes, Yuri, you're absolutley right. I have just checked with IE - and sure enough, I got a blank page instead of Elizabeth profile! Still, with Firefox - it works with no problem.

This is definitely something to be brought to attention of our techies. (Justin....? Are you reading it?)

If it's Firefox, change the encoding either to Win-1251 or to Unicode - and you'll see Russian 'as is'.

Tried changing encoding, no good Feb 28, 2006

I still can't see my page, and I don't have another browser to try.

I'll file a support request.

Thank you all for confirming that there is a problem!

same problem Mar 1, 2006

Hi,
I'm having the same problem. What I think is strange, is that I had no problem yesterday, and as far as I know, the changes in the page had already been implemented, and I'm using the same browser I always have... I don't understand how can I change anything on the profile when I cannot even see it...

Visible again Mar 1, 2006

I opened my page in Mozilla and took out the Russian keywords. Now the page is visible in IE.

Not exactly a great solution, but it works for now.

A solution would be to enter the Russian keywords again, using Unicode encoding.
