Hi,

Can anybody here help me with the writing of pronunciation symbols using MS word? the symbols are those used in the OED.and also, how to write those symbols in KudoZ, since some KudoZ questions also require the answerers to provide the pronunciation?

Thanks!!

This may help with Word but not KudoZ Aug 26, 2002

The International Phonetics Association fonts can be downloaded free from:

http://www.sil.org/computing/fonts/Encore-ipa.html

But I don\'t know how you\'d get them into KudoZ.

Help with KudoZ Aug 26, 2002

Some time ago somebody was asking for the pronounciation of several words in KudoZ. I answered with an audio file.

When answering you have at the bottom the option \"upload audio\" followed by the instructions on uploading audio files.

Follow these instructions, it\'s easy and funny.

Have a look at the following site... Aug 26, 2002

http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/wells/ipa-unicode.htm

It has the Unicode equivalents for phonetic symbols, as well as instruction on how to include them in word docs and html.
