Your profile is incomplete (staff: just a checklist, still some bugs) Thread poster: Claudia Alvis

Hello everybody,
Has anyone else received that message on his or her profile page? I just opened mine and I saw it. Apparently I haven\'t registered which languages I work with, or my personal data or my profile data. In fact I enterd all that information when I registered in proZ, and it\'s still there.
Does anybody know how to fix this, is it something new, is it temporal?
I\'d appreciate any comment on this.

Apparently is a reminder to all of us to complete our profiles. There are lots of incomplete profiles there. I do not think you should worry if your profile is complete.
Don\'t worry, just check it.

Empty profiles represent a significant problem across the site, since they often prevent members from interacting in a proper way. That\'s why ProZ.com staff have come up with a systematic way to indicate to members where their profiles might still be incomplete.
Some teething problems appear to have occurred in conjunction with the rollout, but these should be ironed out within a few days.

seems half-baked | Feb 21, 2003 |
I get that message (which doesn\'t seem very friendly to me) although all required entries are OK. The only empty one is the new \"Specialises in\", but I can\'t find where to fill it in. I did find the BSO categories and saved some of them but they don\'t appear on my page.
Just a checklist to be used as a guide - appears only to you | Feb 21, 2003 |
We have created a checklist page that can be used to make sure you have entered all the recommended data for your profile. For a while, complete/incomplete status will only be updated once daily.
No one sees the \"incomplete\" message but you. It is just a reminder to have an up-to-date profile. Judging from the response here, there are some glitches. We wil debug today.

There was a bug that didn\'t allow you to save \'specialty\' BSO categories in your profile. It has been fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
