when is this course starting?! Jun 18, 2010

I have logged in and am "waiting for Organiser". It now says 10am GMT. Why weren't we informed of this time change?

Wrong time conversion Jun 18, 2010

Hi Claire,

The session started at the announced time - 09:00 GMT

I notice you posted your message at 08:18 GMT, since the course was starting at 09:00 GMT, it just looks like you got confused with the time conversion and tried to access the session 1 hour in advance, hence the message you got "waiting for organizer". Note that UK clocks are on British Summer Time (BST), that is GMT +1 and that Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the same all year around there is no Summer T

Hi Claire,

The session started at the announced time - 09:00 GMT

I notice you posted your message at 08:18 GMT, since the course was starting at 09:00 GMT, it just looks like you got confused with the time conversion and tried to access the session 1 hour in advance, hence the message you got "waiting for organizer". Note that UK clocks are on British Summer Time (BST), that is GMT +1 and that Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the same all year around there is no Summer Time / Daylight Savings Time. http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

For future courses or online events, please note that in ProZ.com time sessions are always posted in your time zone and also in GMT for reference. In order to see the time in your time zone you can click on the "edit your time zone" link, right next to the time in course pages, or also in the confirmation pop up with the message "please check the local time" you have to accept right before you pay. Also there is a useful link you will find in training post-registration notifications: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

I know that time conversion can sometimes be confusing. To be on the safe side I suggest you always double check the the time when you register for an online event organized by ProZ.com or by someone else.

Thanks,

Soledad
