Identity verification (VID) status now shown in directory

The "VID" (verifying identities) program is part of the ongoing, site-wide quality campaign. As has been explained in the newsletter and announced in these forums since the beginning of the year, it is believed that data related to verificaion of identities may be useful to some in forming new online relationships based on mutual trust.

In the latest step in this campaign, we have made VID data visible in the directory. There is now more reason than ever to make sure your identity has been verified:
