I recently redesigned the home page for non logged in visitors. The goal was to better explain the site and what it's used for.

If you want to check it out, just log out and go to http://www.proz.com

If you have any feedback, feel free to post it here.

Thanks!

Very nice !!! Jul 10, 2009

Dear Colin,

it looks really nice !!! Is it only for non logged in visitors? Maybe you're waiting for some more positive feedback from the community before implementing it, aren't you?

Sergio

Thank you Collin for your prompt help.

Is there any screenshot of the page for previous non logged in visitors?

Because I don't think that somebody can remember the previous version.

If to put pictures together here (previous view and current view) then everyone can share detailed opinions about this implemetation.

Best Regards,

M. Ali

Number of translators Jul 10, 2009

With 282,793+ registered translators & interpreters (341 currently logged in), ProZ.com is the largest source of language professionals in the world.

282,793 translators! But only 341 are logged in. It seems that 282,452 translators logged out to see the redesigned home page

Thanks for posting Jul 10, 2009

Hi M. Ali,

The old home page for non logged in visitors was pretty much the same as your home page while you're logged in. The main difference was that there was a bit of introductory text at the top.

Hi Sergio,

Thanks for the feedback. This layout is for non logged in visitors only, your home page when you're logged in won't change.

Much better Jul 11, 2009

Hi Colin,

Good work - it gives non-logged in visitors a much more professional image of the site.

Have a nice weekend!

Niraja
