Today, I was invited to join a new discussion group, about-translation.com. The chat will start next Saturday, 23.
This might be interesting, fo their are a lot of subjects to be discussed (in French and English).
However, I am intrigued how they got my mail address. I asked the question in a mail to the webmaster and Isabelle de Rose, a proZ member (recent) wrote back without answering the question, just inviting me again.

I also received it. This \"company\" (I don\'t know exactly what it is, so I\'ll call it this) has been advertising on sci.lang.translation and sci.lang.translation.marketplace for at least 2 weeks.
I wonder why the webmaster didn\'t reply to Maya\'s question about where she got her e-mail address. Odd.

No, Isabelle de Rose is not a platinum member.
I just wrote back and invited her to join this discussion, to explain what it is all about.

I guess that the \"company\" behind this new forum is \'e-traduit\' aka \'Triumph Management\', managed by William and Andrea Pillas (near Toulon, France).
I just don\'t understand why they don\'t say clearly who they are. Wait and see.

We have all been \"targeted\" through our various memberships in yahoo groups. I use a special e-mail address just for these groups (so as not to clog my regular channels), and I have received this invitation through that separate e-mail address. So, ProZ is not involved.
