Dear members,

As announced last year, the ProZ.com community assisted in a donation drive to support Translators without Borders' "Fund a translator" initiative, which funds a healthcare translator training center in Nairobi, Kenya. Training in this center began in March of 2012.

The translators from this center have recently been busy translating information for others during the elections in Kenya. A thousand two hundred messages were translated on Saturday, twice that amount on Sunday, and the work continues, in nine different languages: Swahili, Luo, Nandi, Kipsigis, Kikuyu, Luhya, Kamba, Meru and Kisii.

For more information, please see http://translatorswithoutborders.org/News-and-Events/TWB_Leads_Translation_Effort

Appreciation goes out to these translators, Translators without Borders, and all of the translators who have given and continue to give of their time, expertise and other resources to help others!

Best regards,

and the rest of the ProZ.com team
