As many of you know, a flash flood hit La Plata, Argentina, last week. Our condolences go out to those who lost loved ones.

Apart from the great and tragic loss of lives, homes, schools and other facilities have been thrown into disarray. La Plata is home to one of ProZ.com's two main offices, and some have asked what they can do to help. Our team down there will be spending a few days this week helping out locally. We are taking up a collection to send money down for our team to use for this purpose. If you would like to contribute to this cause, please email patrick - at - proz.com to arrange payment. The company will match all contributions with a contribution in the same amount. We'll be sending the wire transfer at the end of the day today, so if you are moved to contribute, please email patrick today.

I should point out that this is not a formal charity, just an informal collection, and I suppose that any contribution would not be tax deductible in most areas.

Another way to help -- I've just received the link and not verified it -- may be here: http://ayudalaplata.org/

Thank you.
