...is that possible with HTML? Or is it possible at all?

If yes, please tell me how to do that - thank you all very much.

click on a counter (in my profile page, if you want) and you\'ll go to a website where you can choose the counter you prefer.

It\'s quite easy!

Bye

Take a look at May 24, 2002

www.beseen.com

You can choose from among various types of counters. Apply for one (it\'s free) and simply paste the address you\'ll receive in your mail box into your ProZ Profile when you edit it.

It\'s great fun really icon_wink.gif

All I get on my page is this very code (clickable). Am I doing something wrong?

something about counters and a bit of html May 24, 2002

First of all to Olga:

Yes, there\'s something wrong with your code:

The correct code is right here for you, just take the \"//\" out:

//

//%5C

//

Ok, this should work!

Now, to counters and any free webstuff generally:

If you want a good counter, it\'s best to use one that doesn\'t show any unwanted advertising and yet is for free. My choice is \"www.sitemeter.com\". Several advantages:

a) it\'s free (like everything on the web should be)

b) it doesn\'t have any advertising

c) it is customizable - your colour choice

Have a look at it on my website:

This website is hosted FREE under a FREE url, was compiled with FREE software and carries many FREE items you might find useful for your own website.

Soon there will be an addition to advertise my translating and web-design skills.

Ambrosia, you are a genius! May 24, 2002

There was an extra space there, which appeared to be THE problem!

Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! icon_smile.gif

Kim,

I answered with quoting your post on purpose - I hope that the URL that you posted will be revealed completely, without that little box at the very beginning of it(so far while I am typing it looks exactly the way I want it!).

So, you delete the space between the equation sign and the quotas, i.e. there should be NO space between the = and \" !!!

I deleted it and everything was OK.

Let me know if it worked.

Good luck! icon_smile.gif

OK - now after I have posted it the little box came back.

Kim and everybody who has the same problem: go to your profile page, click \"edit\" - the extra space will be located before the http address starts.

Yes spaces are the problem May 24, 2002

I guess spaces can inadvertently occur after pasting into the profile and after fiddling around with them I got it working - but with BORDER=O sticking out. I went back in and deleted BORDER=O and it works fine now.

My border was sticking out too May 24, 2002

Until I deleted it. Everything seems to be working now! icon_smile.gif
