Google ads to be shown to non-logged-in visitors throughout the site

Hello everyone,

I am writing to let you all know that we will be doing a two-month experiment with Google advertising. Google ads will be displayed to non-logged-in visitors in various sections of the site. The ads displayed will in theory be related to the content on the page--but this is something controlled by Google. For example, a forum thread in the 'safe computing' forum may contain Google ads related to anti-virus or anti-spyware software.

Based on our experience with these ads over the two month trial period, we will decide whether or not to continue showing them. Members and logged-in site users will not see the ads.
