To avoid having to post lots of questions on marvellous words such as Sehrohrgeräteträger I would be grateful for any hints as to where I can find a German to English or purely German glossary of submarine terms.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Birgit Mar 13, 2003

Thanks for the quick response Birgit. I\'m still looking for something more up to date than 1945 since my job relates to submarines being built this year.

Information on submarines Mar 13, 2003

No glossary, I\'m afraid, but lots of invaluable information on submarines in the links on http://people.howstuffworks.com/submarine6.htm

It might help...

Tried this search interface? Mar 13, 2003

You may be aware of this already, but if not, it\'s worth trying this search site - built by Tanya Harvey Ciampi - to find resources on obscure subjects:

Highly recommended for finding glossaries, parallel texts, and multilingual material on the \"hidden Internet\". You simply enter a couple of keywords from your text and the google or other searches are pre-programmed.
