My husband is going to Romania in the town of Lastina. He would love to hear from you about what to eat, what to see, what to hear as he is very keen on traditional music and singing. My husband is Scottish and I am French. Unfortunately I might not be able to go this year as I have embarked on an interpreting course in England..
Thank you very much for your help
Kind regards

Slatina Dec 14, 2007

I think you mean Slatina. It's one of the main towns of the Olt county.

Food suggestion:
Don't miss to taste these 2 Romanian dishes:
SARMALE (minced meat wrapped in cabbage or vine leaves, similar to the Greek "dolmades") excellent!
MITITEI (sort of spicy mini hamburgers, to be enjoyed eaten with mustard and a cold beer.... fantastic!).

It is Slatina, isn't it? Dec 14, 2007

I think you spelled incorrectly Lastina, it is Slatina.
If so, confirm it and I will try to tell you more (my native town). Maybe not being a subject in the field of translation we can communicate by e-mail.
See you!
