In need of a good website on mortgage terminology!

Hi there,

Sorry for writing in English (no Russian fonts on my computer): I urgently need help to get acquainted with the proper terminology of mortgage loans in Russian.

It is not a translation job, just some short interpreting, but I have a very faint idea about this subject in Russian. I know about the mortgage business itself, so the site may be entirely in Russian: I only need some clues (such as the official terms for how the parties are called, what types of contract shall be signed etc.).

Could anyone advise me?

Thanks in advance,

Eva

some links Nov 14, 2002

Hi, here are some links:

http://www.hypoteka.ru/hyp1-1d.htm (scroll down to the bottom of the page for some overall terminology)

http://portal.fiabank.ru/pr/articles/2001-04-01/

(this site goes over the terminology in a kind of Question/Answer format)

http://elf.ihep.su/ipoteka/zrf102.html

(this is the text of the 1998 mortgage law (RF). I\'m not sure whether there are later versions of this law or not, but it\'s a good start for terminology) * the site uses KOI8 encoding

good luck!

thanks a lot: the third link is the best for brushing up my Russian! (Finally I did study law in Russian, but I already forgot most of the words.) Thanks, now I am more confident.
