Have a look at this article:

Apparently Amazon and the social networks have been particularly impacted. Might be a good time to change your passwords, update your virus program, and let it run to search for malware.

The article mentions that the German federal internet security authorities have created a website where those who suspect their email account has been compromised can request a review of their situation.
The site claims that they will check your email address against the list of compromised accounts, and if they find anything fishy, they will contact you at your email address with further instructions about removing possible malware.

You may have to try several times, as the site has been bombarded since this morning.
