Hi, translator,

Very recently, I just got a fraud case from a Email as wr.linguistics.trans@gmail.com under the name of Shiona Oldham from Wolfestone Translation Ltd. Today, I got contact with Mrs Shiona, as she told this email is a Fraud, not from her company.

Also, through my searching I found that wr.linguistics.trans@gmail.com use the name of WR Linguistics, the web is http://www.wilkes-rowe.com/

so, anyone if you find this contact or anyone who use this Email will most probably a Fraud case.

The tricks the cheat used is using a very attractive price and will offer PO, address etc. make him or her look like a Real company.

Pls note, and tell any translator you may know.

tks.

kyle

Fraud Alert !! Aug 29, 2013

Yes, right it is a fraud.
I am the victim of it.

E mail:
wr.linguistics.trans@gmail.com

Name :
Shiona Oldham

Position and etc:
Project Manager
6 Abbey Road - Durham - County Durham
DH1 5DQ - UK
http://www.wilkes-rowe.com/
WR Linguistics is part of Wilkes Rowe Limited - Registered Company No. 4905492

Today, I contacted with WR Linguistics staff through its website and got panic answer.
They have no one under that name.

so, I lost USD 1,700.-

Somebody tell me what to do ?
I do not know what to do.

I have guessed That shiona Oldham is living somewhere in HongKong/Singapore.
Because the time zone it used was not the UK clearly.

Regards

[EDIT]
I'm not good at Japanese but the Google translation helps a lot.

You can see the same E mail address here.
This one is not so big.

I guess, mine was the worst.

You can't be too carefull Sep 2, 2013

Though I am not a victim (yet, thank you for the warning), I never trust agencies that have no email address of themselves, so yahoo's.com, hotmails.com, gmails, com, etc. are subject to my delete button.

If it is still going on. Sep 3, 2013

We need some kind of special alert space in this community.
Maybe, or for sure, some other victim(s) working hard now for his living.
This sucks. Really.
And have no way to kill that person.

Regards
