Hello!

I have a group of visio files, each with several pages inside, and I need to analyse them and translate them with Trados 7.0 Build 615.

Can anyone please give me a hint of how I can do this?

Thanks!!

Natalia

Hello Natalia,

one way of doing this is using SysFilter for Visio. You can download the trial version from:

http://www.ecm-engineering.de/cm_ger/downloads.php?cat_id=1

This will help you for a period of 15 days and should be fine for analysis purposes. Later you can purchase the full version, if needed. I just prepared a single file that way.

You save the vsd file as rtf and then translate it as any other rtf file in Trados.

Hope that helps,

Thanks Gogolin!

When researching about this issue, I've also discovered Transmissions for Visio.

What I've seen is that SysFilter converts visio files into word files, and also updates the visios with the translations made in the word files.

On the other hand, Transmissions creates ttx files, and also also updates the visios with the translations made with tageditor.

Two good solutions for the same problem...

Natalia
