Bilingual Source Files - How to leverage?

I have a file that is both Italian and English. We need to only translate the Italian into English and not touch the current English. We do have an Italian memory to leverage against but need to basically isolate the language. Is there an "easy" way to do this and still provide a full file back?

How do you know what's English and what's Italian? Mar 20, 2008

Any way to isolate/partition these two parts automatically (like two columns of a word table, sentences either in English or Italian etc)?

If you can determine, what's English, you simply hide away this text (format / characters / hidden in word) and you are left with Italian text to be translated.

The file is a .sgml tagged file. When you open the file, it is a mix of both Italian and English text. The final outcome needs to be an all English .sgml file with all tags in place.
