I am working on a file with coloured text, tables and footnotes.

A multiple problem has developed - and concerns both Workbench and Tag Editor 2007 . (Build 835).

-, The first glitch was a footnote. - I translated the sentence. On closing the TU, the footnotes TU opened. I translated that and closed it, after that I closed the main text TU, and it looked as if it was alright.

-, After the next paragraph started a table, which had in the title bar the same green colour as the source line in an open TU. - And that might have been the reason that I saw no new open TU, all the more as the beige target bar did not open. But there was a 70 % match already filled in - but was not editable.

-, From them on the text was blocked - with the information that a TU was open - although none was visible. - I thus clicked on the "save and close" arrow and closed the file.

-, On trying to reopen in Tag Editor, either the tagged file or the untagged source file, I am told that the files cannot be opened because of accepted or non accepted changes.

-, I have set the Filters to "process with accepted or unaccepted changes". Nothing helps.
These files do not open.

It would be nice to get here some information concerning this new and very typical Trados mess.

Particularly I might need a tip how to address the footnote conundrum correctly.

What kind of source file is it?

If it's Word, you might have to accept Track Changes.

It is Word - but a rather complicated document Apr 2, 2008

It definitely is Word - and I was requested to accept Track Changes. But I had no idea how to do it, or even what it meant. - If it is the normal Word Track Changes, then I wonder how they could have crept in here.

- On someone else's advice I clicked in Filter Settings the box "process with unconfirmed changes" or something like it - no avail.

It looks as if the thing could not cope with a table heading in the green colour of TU source or 100 % matches. - It seems when the thing had to open that line in did not know what to do and got topsy-turvy.
