A customer has asked me for a .tmx file for my translation.
I did the translation in Trados and have a .bak file and the .doc file generated after clean-up.
How do I create a .tmx file with them? Or is it even possible?

Hi,

TMX is an interchange format for TMs.

Simply export your TM and select tmx as file format.

If you don't want to export your whole TM but juste the translation units contained in the file, create a new, empty TM, clean the BAK file with it and then export this new TM as tmx.

HTH,
Sylvain
