Hi I am trying to open my ttx-file and I receive the message ERROR:
(40007):Error reading TTX file: The input ended before all started tags were ended. Last tag started was 'Raw'

Does anyone now how to solve my problem? Or what I did wrong?

Many thanks!

Harold

Incomplete transmission? Apr 23, 2008

Were you able to open the file before? Is it possible it was incompletely transmitted?

(40007)Error opening ttx file Apr 23, 2008

It was a proofread which we did, we send in the file to the client, and now we discover it can not be opened, just as a notepad file or html.

Thanks for the help!

I met similiar problems before. Apr 24, 2008

Once the client send me a ttx file. After I sent the ttx fileback. The client said he could not open it.

Then I compressed the ttx into a ZIP file and sent again. The client said "It did the trick."

So I thought maybe your client can send you a zipped file so that it will not be damaged by the mail server.

Last tag started was 'Raw' Apr 24, 2008

Hi Astrid,

(40007):Error reading TTX file: The input ended before all started tags were ended. Last tag started was 'Raw'

Doesn't this mean that started tags need to be ended before the input is ended?
If so, there should have some unended(or open) tag(s). The above error message also said "Last tag started was "Raw". I'm not sure what "Raw" is. If I were you, I'd open the file before proofread and try to find "Raw".

Try this... Apr 24, 2008

Hello,

You could try translating the original again, using the Translate to Fuzzy function from the previous Translation Memory to speed things up.

I suspect your tagging information has been corrupted.

I hope this helps.

Many Thanks,

Gareth Powell

FOUND IT!! Apr 24, 2008

OK,
Thanks all for your replies.
The problem was a missing tag-line at the end of the file.
I opened it in Notepad and opened another .ttx and copied the last lines.
Problem solved!

Warmest,
Astrid / Harold

I incurred the exactly same problem May 13, 2010

I received ttx files from the client and worked on it using SDL Trados 2009, then I converted the sdlxliff files back to ttx files. And when I sent them to the client, the client notified me that they couldn't not open the ttx files. I couldn't open them either.

The error message was exactly same as above, i.e. "(40007)Error opening ttx file..."

How shall I correct this? Please help.

Tsogt

Hi! I'm having the same problem.

Could anyone please guide me through the process of copying the last tag line in a ttx file. I'm not quite sure how that works.

I have Trados 7 Feelance.
Thanks!

(40007) Error reading TTX file: Expected end of tag 'Raw' Feb 18, 2014

In the end I discovered this problem was caused by a comment in the source Word file, which caused problems with Studio 2014/2011 and TagEditor when converting back to Word.

I deleted the comment and managed to get a working target Word file.
