I finally managed to feed the mutltiterm base and i translated a short text using your instructions i saw the green and blue zones, the source segments underlined with ............., the hidden marks but i don\'t know what benefit i will draw from that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i feel a bit less like an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i still fail to see the future benefit!!!!!! since i don\'t know if that work was automatically fed into my translation memory. Does it mean that from now onward, trados w

i feel a bit less like an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i still fail to see the future benefit!!!!!! since i don\'t know if that work was automatically fed into my translation memory. Does it mean that from now onward, trados will automatically propose a translation for every term translated beforehand using trados??????

Alex, try this: You might slightly change your orignal text by replacing one or three words. Then run it under Trados again & you will experience what TM can do to you (in a positive and negative way, though). ▲ Collapse

Thank you, the only thing is that I don't find these websites very helpful... I mean, I never find the answers that I'm looking for! Trados is really not user-friendly and I am very confused, so I'm looking for a step-by-step guide... another one!

There are also plenty of training courses you could attend. What exactly do you want to know about and then perhaps I could point you in the right direction?
