I have 107 Word files to translate. For the offer, I'd like to get a wordcount and repetition count in Trados without including the headers and footers, which are to remain untranslated. Is there a convenient way to do this? I'm not so excited about a word macro that would strip the headers and then re-insert them. I do have Practicount, where I can specify that the headers/footers be excluded in the analysis, but I don't have an idea then of fuzzy matches. All I'm really interested in knowing a... See more

All I'm really interested in knowing are the repetitions and 100% matches, but I could settle for just the repetitions (it's very repetitive, not that many matches in my TM). I'd just find percentage of non-header-footer text out of total (using Practicount) and apply it to the outcome of Trados analysis of the total. Not exact, but tractable.

Another option, representing slighlty more work, would be to assign "Don’t translate" style to headers and footers (depends on how much they are formatted, though).
