How to delete text fields in Trados 7.0?

Hello!

I'm using Trados 7.0.0.615.

I need to delete an attribute/text field and the delete button doesn't work. How can I do it?

This is so per design Jul 24, 2008

Because elements (translation units) in the database may already contain the fields. Would you remove fields, the TUs would have inconsistent data (orphane entries).
If you do not want to have them in your TM, please export the TM to a text file, than create a new TM and import the old one. When importing chose "New fields -> ignore", and this should do the trick.
