Hi everyone,

I have a question about tag removal from my Trados TM database. Things go like this:

I use my Trados TM database to translate both xml files and non-tag files such as MS word files. Now, I need to remove the tags which were imported from XML files from the TUs in order to use or facilitate the TM analysis function for non-tag files. I guess if the tags are removed from the TU, greater match value would be obtained.

The question: is there any method to remove the tag by using Trados's functions or some easy way?

TONY

Olifant Nov 8, 2008

Olifant (freeware) can do the same - for individual TUs.

If you want to do it for the whole TM in one run, just exporting to TMX 1.1 and reimporting should do the trick, I believe.
