WinAlign: problems with characters when exported

Hello,

when I use WinAlign to create a new translation memory several Slovak characters in the exported txt files are displayed in an unusual way. Some Slovak characters are displayed as ? instead of ť, 3 instead of ľ etc. Of course, these characters are displayed this way in the new translation memory created.


Any ideas how to solve it?

Hello,

Please make sure that you have the correct source and target languages set up under the Project Settings -> General tab.

Also, the problem could be with your font script used. Please try the following:

1. Go to Settings -> Project...
2. Select the "Interface" tab
3. Select "Define Segment Formatting"
4. Choose "Target Segments"
5. Change the "Script" option to "Central European"
6. Select "OK" to accept all changes.

The settings you mentioned were set by default. The source and targate language were as required. The problem is somewhere else.
