Need more shortcuts in TE

Is it possible to close the Find- and Replace-boxes from the keyboard or do we have to click with the mouse? I often click on Help instead on Cancel, these buttons are stupidly arranged.
And how about closing a file? Ctrl + W does not work as it should in Windows-applications.
