Hi everynone,
after nearly eight months of happy and trouble-free working with Trados 835, I started getting this annoying message again.
The problem only occurs with one single termbase, no matter if working with TagEditor or Word.
I've already tried:
- deleting the MultiTerm7dot.xml file
- removing from the Word Startup folder
- exporting and reimporting the troublesome termbase into a new one
- re-registering TW and MT (in this order)
- re-registering MT and TW (in this order)

No matter what I do, the problem simply persists. Can anyone think of a solution/workaround that works?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...icon_smile.gif

Try this... Oct 10, 2008

Hello Stanislav,

This problem usually occurs when you have named your termbase with the signs “>" or " =" included.

To resolve this issue open MultiTerm and the termbase which causes the problem. Go to "Termbase" --> "Modify termbase definition". You will be then able to rename your termbase.

Open Translators Workbench and try to select the renamed termbase again.

I hope this helps.

Many Thanks,

Gareth Powell

It's working Oct 10, 2008

Hi Gareth,
It's working indeed. Actually, I'd had the same idea but thought it couldn't be such a stupid mistake on my part. Well, it aparently was.icon_smile.gif

Thanks a lot and have a nice weekend!
