Does anyone know how to save a Trados 7.5 file to a lower version?
Thanks!

No way.
By design.

I think the best solution is to use a TM created in a lower version, clean up using the higher version, then pretrlanslate using the lower version.
It should work but it's rather annoying when you have only one licence, one machine etc.

Thanks for your reply! Another source suggested exporting the higher version to a txt file and importing it into the lower version. Then do the reverse when the file comes back.

Yes, you can export your TM as Trados 2.x - 6.x, then import it in a lower version and pretranslate, the idea is the same and the effect will be the sameicon_smile.gif

PS.
Yes, I know, I start another flame war.
Presegment your file in the lower version of Trados you need, then import and translate in DVX or another intelligent CAT.
Unlike in Trados, the structure will be preserved at 100%.
It simply worksicon_smile.gif
