Dear all,

My computer broke down (spilled orange juice over keybord, how smart:).

It will be repaired, but the hard disk might be formatted.

Would it be possible that I disactivate my Trados license on the web, then re-install Trados on another computer for the time being?

I tried to find an answer on and here in the forums, but I couldn't find anything on this..

I hope to receive an answer, because I can't work without Trados:(.

Thank you!

Solution Finder... Oct 20, 2008

Hello Suzanne,

This depends on your license type. If you are using SDL Trados 2007 Freelance version then you will most likely be using an activation code which requires the user to return the license and cannot be done online.

However, we can return the activation code for you. Please visit the solution finder and follow the step by step instructions. You will then be given a support form to fill out, which will be sent to our support team, who will get back to you as soon as possible.

To visit the solution finder please follow these instructions:

1. Please visit:

2. Login with your username and password

3. Go to "My Support"

4. Select "Licensing and Installation Help"

5. Read the instructions and then select the "Solution finder direct link"

6. Select the "Licensing Problems" link in the left hand navigation pane

7. Answer the questions accordingly

8. Please fill in the support form

I hope this helps.

Many Thanks,

Gareth Powell
