This is my first time using Trados 2007 with Vista (now that I got the toolbar up, thanks to the advice of some fellow Prozians). I just tried to analyse a Word file containing simplified Chinese text. It seemed to work ok since I could view the log file, but when I went into the document (which had been saved in the compatibility mode), there were no translation units, and when I tried to open/get, it just gave me an error message of

Microsoft Visual Basic
Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment.
OK Help (which didn't help)

I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone has. Thanks!

Hi Caroline
You are working with Trados 2007 and Vista, which happens to be a not-very-successful combination. And, additionally, with Chinese. I suggest you look at these already available threads, maybe you can find some advice here:
about compatibility: http://www.proz.com/topic/70178
with MultiTerm: http://www.proz.com/topic/81557
invalid Chinese characters: http://www.proz.com/topic/108007
upgrade from 2003 to 2007: http://www.proz.com/topic/118733
My 2 cents,
Fabio

Don't forget to remove the old Trados*.dot template Oct 25, 2008

As long you will have both dot and dotm in your Word startup-folder, Word 2007 will read both - and the dot will both not work in Word 2007 and spoil the dotm.

Thanks! Oct 25, 2008

I removed the .dot file and applied the Hotfix from the SDL site and it seems to work (for now).

Have a great weekend!
